My washing was frosted and frozen on the line this morning. I'm slowly considering what I want in the next year. I've swithering between 3 words of the year and drawing up draft schedules for goals. One of which was immensely helped by leaping onto the computer and googling for some info so I've scheduled that for Jan/Feb 2010 but it gives me a year to prepare. Instead of being vague and 'waiting for the right moment' which never comes. It now has firm place in my life. The rest is now planning visits to family and friends around my teaching and work schedule. I'm reminded of my SNP activist Great Aunt Mary - chiropodist by day political activist / salon holder by night. She used to say 'Work - it really cuts into your day !'
"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.Concering all acts of initiative there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definately commits oneself, then Providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that would otherwise never have occured. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man would have believed would have come his way. "

And as this project does have a Himalayan element a doubly apprropriate quote !
