It exists already

"When I started I had no intention at all of publishing it. It wasn't unil mid-October that I began to think that an expanded, addended form of this diary, with its mishmash of ideas, Observations, speculatons and grumbles, could become the books for which Matthew Evans of Faber so trustingly gave me a £100, 000, 000 advance several years ago. I'd put a lot of thought into that, and never found that form I wanted. One day Stewart Brand said to me in an e-mail, 'Why don't you assume you've written your book already - and all you have to do now is find it?', and several weeks later this way of doing exactly that dawned on me."

What ever we want to create already exists. Our job is to find it and allow it out into the world. The great thing about this way of thinking is that its the cue for us to get out of the way and just do the work. Less agonsing more doing. The way of the work will be found by doing it. The photographs are out there already its just my job to take my camera with me.
